We’re always keen to meet new players and to introduce them to croquet. Whether you’re an absolute novice or if you’ve played before in the back garden, we have a variety of ways in which you can come along and see what the game is like.
Taster sessions
If you would like a personal introduction to the game, contact the club secretary and we will invite you to a taster session to show you the basics of the game.
Open days
We also hold occasional open days during the season when you can come to see what we do and have a go.
However you contact us, we’ll provide all the equipment and any instruction that you need. You just need to wear some flat-soled shoes and we’ll have you playing really quickly.
Introductory courses
We also offer introductory courses of six two-hour sessions where we give you a thorough grounding in all the techniques and skills required to enjoy both golf croquet and association croquet..
If you are not yet a member, there is a charge for this course, but if you subsequently decide to join the club, the cost is deducted from your first year’s subscription.
